MIFA Transit
Why we do it
Due to income restrictions or mobility issues, many seniors
in the area are unable to access traditional transportation
What we do
MIFA Transit takes seniors to medical appointments,
congregate meal sites, government agencies, senior centers, Senior Companion
work sites, nutritional facilities, and counseling appointments.
What we've done
Transit is MIFA’s oldest program, with a fleet of 44
vehicles (four of which have wheelchair lifts) that made over 45,000 trips last
year.
