March for Meals

Thanks to Joe Birch and Josh Pastner for supporting March for Meals. You should too!

What are you doing to combat hunger for seniors like Willie in your community?

March for Meals is an annual national campaign to raise awareness of senior hunger and to encourage action on a local level. Senior nutrition programs across the United States promote March for Meals in their local communities through public events, partnerships with local businesses, volunteer recruitment, and fundraising initiatives. Locally, MIFA’s March for Meals raises funds for our Senior Meals program, which serves more than 2,400 hot, nutritious meals every day to homebound seniors in Shelby, Tipton, Fayette, and Lauderdale counties!

The campaign takes place in  March because it was during this month that the law was enacted that included senior meal programs in the Older Americans Act.

At any time during the year, you can donate to March for Meals online.

For the last 42 years, MIFA has helped many individuals as they face life-changing situations. Although we have accomplished tremendous achievements since 1968, MIFA continues to rely on the generosity of the community. Your participation in March for Meals represents your commitment to making a difference in our city.
